And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18–20 (ESV)

Church Planting partnerships

“Much traditional evangelism aims to get a “decision” for Christ. Experience, however, shows us that many of these decisions disappear and never result in changed lives. Many decisions are not really conversions but are only the beginning of a journey of seeking God. (Other decisions are very definitely the moment of a “new birth,” but this differs from person to person.) Only a person who is being evangelized in the context of an ongoing worshiping and shepherding community can be sure of finally coming home into vital, saving faith. This is why a leading missiologist like C. Peter Wagner can say, “Planting new churches is the most effective evangelistic methodology known under heaven.”  Church attendance and adherence overall in the United States are in decline. This cannot be reversed in any other way but the way it originally had been so remarkably increasing. We must plant churches at such a rate that the number of churches per 1,000 in the population begins to grow again, rather than decline as it has since World War I.”

  • The Detroit Project is a church planting initiative in Detroit, MI, within the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America), committed to gospel renewal.

  • Finding Freedom Ranch is a Christian non-profit organization in Byron Center, Michigan seeking to serve young women battling with eating disorder. Started by a local family as the result of their own journey with eating disorder, it is their vision that young women who come to Finding Freedom Ranch would find peace with God, peace with themselves, and peace with food.

Through the gospel truth and the encouragement of a mentor, young women will be equipped to stand in their newfound freedom by exploring the depths of their external battle, their emotional insecurities, and their spiritual identities.

Finding Freedom Ranch currently offers support groups for both girls battling eating disorders as well as moms walking alongside their daughters in the fight. They are also in the process of building a residential treatment center unlike any other of its kind in Michigan – a gospel-based ministry that works toward healing the heart of an eating disorder with the mind of Christ.
